Guys have been the gatherers and the hunters or rather, the providers and as a result get it a part of them where their body stores fat. Men use up more calories at a faster rate than women and they also have the upper hand in this sense. But when looking at fat distribution, if a man’s metabolism slows down and the intake is not controlled to healthy foods, a problem starts to develop.

The fat distribution goes to the abdomen where vital organs are. Here, as fat collects it begins to apply pressure to those organs and can lead to problems with the liver, hypertension and heart and diabetes. These prove fatal depending on the seriousness of the weight gain. When a man gets into their 30’s the ability to metabolize food lowered and significant weight gain starts to show. Depending on the weight gain, steps have to be taken to lower fat and continue the lean machine that you are used to or haven’t had but still look at it as a goal. Weight loss tactics for men are simply sound judgment, and this applies to everyone and every kind of sex. The only difference is that with a plan, your daily calorie intake is different. For men, the ball park figure is somewhere in the 2000 to 2500 range per day at least.

Get rid of the burgers, the fries, the fatty substances and focus on fruits, vegetables and grains lean protein and dairy. This is the same plan that has always been implemented in your heads since you were in grade school with slightly different adjustments. The advantages that men have over women is that once you realize where you are gaining the calories, you can get rid of those and start some exercise and eating right and you will see results almost immediately. If you are obese then you will at least feel the results.
